Prevention is better than cure.

·        Look after your feet.
·        Wear well fitting, worn in shoes.
·        Wear properly fitting socks without seams.

When trekking for several days or long distance walking, feet are put to a severe endurance test. Strong skin on the feet is desirable to prevent blisters. Keep feet dry, wearing well ventilated shoes.

Camphor spray can harden the skin of the feet. Begin daily spraying of the feet 2-3 weeks prior to walking.

Tick- Out - tick remover

Ticks are prevalent in forested areas. There are several infections carried by ticks so tick bites should be avoided.

Soap Leaves - ideal for backpackers. Easy to use and available in small plastic boxes containing 50 leaves.
