With specially trained staff and access to the latest information on outbreaks, the Hertford Travel Clinic is a registered Yellow Fever Centre, and can provide vaccinations and certificates on-site.
The disease is spread by day-biting Aedes mosquitoes in tropical regions of South America and Africa. It is considered one of the most lethal viral diseases and has no effective treatment.
There are two methods to prevent Yellow Fever:
- Vaccination
- Bite Avoidance
International Health Regulations require a Certificate of Vaccination for some countries. Travellers without these certificates can be quarantined or denied entry.
